The Story
The Type 904 Jeans Jacket follows the season's experiments with cross cutting: the pattern is laid sideways across the denim fabric, governing the length of the body and sleeves, which both finish with horizontal selvage lines. The body is cut from a single piece of fabric, and the sleeves are sewn along the top, up to the shoulder seams. Four patch pockets are fastened to the fronts and back of the jacket, and the collar is a fully shaped two-piece construction. Sewn with all-cotton thread and finished with riveted jeans fly buttons. Made in the UK red label.
Tender’s 16oz blue line selvage denim is custom woven in Japan. It is ring-spun unbleached American cotton is rope dyed with 25 dips of pure indigo, with no back tinting or sulphur, giving an exceptionally dark blue-black fabric which fades beautifully with wear. The yarn is heavily starched during the weaving process, so it arrives quite stiff and will soften considerably as it ages. Because it has not been pre-skewed, the yarn unwinds with washing, causing the clothing to twist and shape to the body. The rinsed and dyed denim has been fully shrunk.
- 100% cotton.
- Delicate separate wash cool, inside out. Hang dry.
- Made in the USA.
