The Coverall Coat is based on a 1940s Montgomery Ward coverall. Since cars were still rare during the 1940s, the coverall features three-dimensional sleeves angled toward the front, suitable for horse riding. The elegant sleeves are a vestige of the time when horseback riding was still common. The moleskin fabric features giza cotton for the weft, woven to the maximum density. Such dense weaving would normally result in a stiff texture, but the generous use of giza cotton successfully achieves softness with a beautiful gloss. The lining uses an original blanket made from loosely knitted recycled wool, while the collar features an original printed fabric replicating tweeduroy. The iron buttons are marked with original engravings and feature a material treated with smoky metallic finish to achieve a vintage look.
- 100% cotton.
- Dry clean only.
- Made in Japan.
